This
bird has a small
beak, a spot or "v"
on the chest, a white belly, and a yellowish
supercillium near the beak (stronger during mating season), and a short
tail. The
grasshopper sparrow also has a yellowish supercilium but it has more
of a
roman-nosed beak and a buffy, unmarked belly (see Grasshopper
Sparrow).
