"fishing" in the Great Salt Lake
Oddly enough, I saw a bird of prey standing on the Great Salt Lake which, of course, made me pull over
on the causeway on my way off Antelope Island. I wasn't sure what bird it was until it tried to take
off with a dead duck in its grasp. It failed on numerous attempts but it didn't stop trying until
it was pretty much exhausted. I considered it quite a treat to witness a harrier "walking on water".
I knew the GSL was shallow, but not that shallow. © Carol Davis, 2-28-08
