I
had to lighten up this photo quite a bit because the head was
shaded. I assume this is a baby Fox Sparrow, for
two reasons;one, it didn't fly away when it saw me standing there and
two, it's all prickly looking like its
baby feathers are falling out and new ones are replacing
them The Fox Sparrows were singing their little
hearts out at the North Arm Viewing Area of Pineview Reservoir this

This was taken just as the bird lit in the tree and was observing me.
As soon as I took this shot
the little sparrow jumped into the open. I think it had just bathed and
wanted to dry off in the sun.
