These two reminded me of an 18th century
schoolmaster and the
little missus, dressed all in black
and sitting so prim
and proper. This idea
soon changed when they commenced kissin' and a
huggin' like newlyweds. She
seemed a
little needyon this beautiful winter day at
Garr Ranch
on Antelope
Island, Utah.
When the missus wanted a some attention,
two little horns
would stand out on the top of her head and she
would start snuggling. Then Mr.
Raven
would scratch her under the chin, around the
neck or on
top of the head, as
shown
below: She was not shy about wanting to be the center of
attention
and let her mate know about it
often. Usually when I stop to take pictures
of ravens they fly immediately, and they did
move in a little closer to
the trunk of the tree, but these two were focused mainly on
each
other. I really enjoyed watching their intimate moments from my
car.
