Orb Weaver
probably Neoscona crucifera
This spider in the marshy area of the Jordanelle Dam
wetlands took me by surprise because I had never seen
the Neoscona species there before. It was aglow in the
early morning sunlight. ©

I was unable to get a shot of the underside but I think
it is the Neoscona crucifera. It's nice to know this
neat species is protecting the higher valley wetlands.
