The Misumenops Crab
Spider
vs.
the Unsuspecting Small Wood-Nymph

I took this picture thinking this butterfly was being very
cooperative. Later, after I left the area and was reviewing my
shots, I saw that
this Small Wood-Nymph butterfly was a "captive" audience. Luckily
there were thousands of other wood-nymphs in the area, which
was just a few miles from Bryce Canyon National Park, to keep the
population going. © Carol Davis, 7-9-2008
