Crab Spider in
Teasel (two photos)
Xysticus

This is how I first found this spider, tucked partially inside
Teasel. Insects and birds can get drinks from dew or rain that
collects inside
the holes left by the dead blossoms. Spiders find them especially handy
for hiding in to catch unsuspecting insects. © Carol Davis

This little guy was having none of my picture-taking so he backed out
of his hiding spot and quickly left the Teasel. © Carol
