Family Tortricidae
This pretty little moth was hanging around my porch light. Notice the intricate pattern
in the fringe on the bottom of the wings. Tortricid moths of the genus Eucosma are very
destructive to trees in the larval stage. This page from the Forestry Service lists just a
few of these wood-boring and cone-boring moth larvae, along with photos of
