Halticotoma valida
I foundt these on yucca in the desert east of St. George, Utah. The flash on the camera
seems to bring out more of the brown on the bug's back. It is actually more blackish.

These little bugs suck on the juices of Yucca. It's hard to take pictures of bugs
in Yucca since it has thick sword-like leaves and it's rather tricky trying to get a
