Squash Bug (three
photos)
Coreidae Anasa

These Squash Bugs are Leaffooted Bugs, although
there is no part
of the leg that resemble leaves, like this other leaffooted bug. They resemble
members of the beneficial Assassin
Bug family, who would prey on the squash bug if given a
chance. Squash Bugs are
garden pests, feeding on
pumpkin and squash. Below are the
tiny eggs laid on top of the leaves in gardens.
