I found this little wasp near Hoover Dam (or Boulder Dam for you older folks). This little Nevada dweller
was scooting around the desert floor like a dune buggy. If I got a little too close for comfort, it would
fly up, but never land too far away. It didn't like its picture taken so the best photo I got was this one.
It was a beautiful wasp and definitely on the prowl for a meal. © Carol Davis 4-1-2010
