Genus Malachius
I found this little female insect running around on the inside window of
my friend Ruth's jeep at Locomotive Springs, Utah. It's tough to get a

This is definitely a new species for me but Bugguide was unable to narrow
it to species. According to Bugguide, adults and larvae in this family of
beetles feed mainly on insects and pollen. © Carol Davis, 6-26-2011
