Soft-winged Flower
Beetle
Genus Collops
This Soft-winged Flower beetle resembles the Two-spotted
Melyrid except it doesn't have the
two spots. Most of the beetles with the genus Collops are
considered beneficial since the
larvae and adults are known to feed on insects as well as pollen.
This one was in the Kolob
Canyons Overlook of Zion National Park near Cedar City, Utah.
