I found this long-nosed Snout Beetle in the wetlands below
Jordanelle Dam in Wasatch County, Utah.
The adults feed on plants and flowers and the larvae feed on
roots. Beetles in this genus, such as the
boll weevil (Anthonomus grandis), can be very destructive. ©
