Scentless
Plant Bug
Stictopleurus

I'll bet this bug-eyed Scentless Plant Bug is in
shock today because when I photographed it three days ago,
the weather was gorgeous (in the high 60's). Well, this morning
(Sunday) it is dang cold and there are four
inches of snow on the ground (1-2 inches predicted). I'm in
shock, as well. © Carol Davis, 3-31-2011
Scentless Plant Bugs feed on the seeds of plants and are not
the favorite of gardeners but the
predatory insects love them! © Carol
