Plant Bug
Lopidea
This plant bug, Lopidea, that I found at Strawberry Reservoir
in Wasatch County, Utah, is considered a pest
that feeds on various plants such as goldenrod, phlox, and day
lilies. Because of its red and black coloring
and over all shape, you might take a quick look and think its a Boxelder
Bug, but a closer look
would reveal the differences. © Carol Davis, 8-27-2009
