Leafhopper
Genus
Mesamia
"Golden Leafhopper" (my nickname for them)
I find these beautiful leafhoppers on dwarf sunflowers in Utah. These were at Promontory Point.

This is the same leafhopper species in the nymph stage. They blend in very well with diseased
sunflowers. They can hide in the blackish-brown portion of the leaves. I was very lucky
to find this one resting on a green leaf. © Carol Davis, 8-2-2011
This shows the adult and nymph together on the same diseased leaf.
