Heterotoma meriopterus
These little bugs have fat antennae with what looks like needles at the end. They are omnivorous, dining on aphids and
also having snippets of buds and fruit. I have only seen two in my garden so I'm assuming they're probably not big
eaters so I won't be sending in the praying mantis. This is a better picture than the first one I posted. © Carol Davis, 7-7-2008
