Neotephritis finalis

As you can see, these fruit flies were very aware they
were being photographed but they were not about to split up.
You can get a pretty good idea of why they have a
reputation for rapid reproduction. Larvae of this
species can
cause damage to the heads of sunflower plants. The USDA has
