Fruit Fly
possible genus Cryptotreta
The shape of the wings on this species is very suggestive of
the genus Cryptotreta. There

I consider myself very lucky when I encounter a fruit fly.
These little things are very
tiny and some have beautiful patterns on their wings. They usually
don't hold still very
long but this one was in a contemplative mood, I guess. I found
it at the North Arm
