Gnathacmaeops pratensis
or Acmaeops (Gnathacmaeops) pratensis
This tiny Flower Longhorn Beetle landed on my friend's shirt as we were hiking by the Provo River Falls
in the Uinta Mountains of northern Utah. I guess her sweater was the brightest flower this beetle had
seen all day so it stayed on there for quite a few minutes while I took pictures. ©Carol Davis, 8-10-2010
