This was a new little bug for me and they were
very plentiful on this tiny red wilflower
by Payson Lakes, Utah. Corimelaena

This is the tiny red wildflower that these bugs seemed to be
more comfortable on, probably because of the red that
matched their own stripes. Ebony Bugs are in the Suborder Heteroptera
and are "true bugs". You can read
