Bombus centralis
This little bumble bee is feeding on one of its favorite plants (bull thistle), at least according to this site
(which includes lots of information about Bombus centralis). This beauty also loves rabbitbrush, which is
prevalent throughout the state of Utah. I think this is one of the prettiest of the bumble bees and I found it
in the Jordanelle Wetlands in Wasatch County, Utah © Carol Davis, 8-2-2008
