Just to lay a little foundation: I purchased a Mining Bee house with some cardboard tubes to
try to attract nesting bees. It seems the only bee I attracted was the very cute Leaf-cutting Bee.
On November 12, I cut open one of the tubes to see what was inside and this is what I found:

Is that a parasite?

I cleaned up this one a little but it was dried up. All the other plugs fell apart.
Maybe someone can figure out what has happened here. I'm clueless.
